One of the amazing things about being a Tottenham Hotspur supporter is the ridiculous emotional swings one has to endure. It's almost like we're bipolar. Right now we're in the upswing, which is great, except it's always followed by the downswing. I wonder what it would like to constantly be on that upswing.... Anyways, it's a shorthanded show this week. So it's basically the Brian and Bryan show. Which was fun for a minute, but then you guys asked us a bunch of questions, which we really could have used Kevin's expertise to answer. So if you feel unfulfilled after listening to this you only have yourselves to blame. Brian and I did get a chance to talk about the Bolton match, Kyle Walker's new contract, and the upcoming Aston Villa match though, in between stumbling through your questions. An upbeat podcast coming at you this week, as Tottenham Hotspur decided to pick up their form this week and drop a 2-0 win on Blackburn Rovers. Kevin's back in the hosting chair, as Ed and Mechanick chime in with their analyses. Plenty of talk on that game this week, as we break down what went right for Tottenham (and what went terribly wrong for Blackburn). A lot of tactics talk, a thorough analysis of Danny Rose, and some serious Kyle Walker redemption. After that we're on to the Mailbag, where we get started off with an analysis of the Championship playoff race. Praising for Chris Hughton and Ian Holloway, with long balls, long balls, and more long balls from Sam Allardyce. After that, we address the news of Roy Hodgson taking the England job. A ton of analysis of why it happened and if it was the right decision. After that we keep going with the England National Team, discussing the squad and just what Roy's appointment means for Tottenham Hotspur. We finish up previewing tomorrow's Bolton Wanderers match. We look at Bolton's threats, weaknesses, and just who the hell Harry Redknapp should put out there. All in all a great show with a good vibe, so thanks for listening! |

Wheeler Dealer Radio back at you with a fresh podcast today. We've got Mechanick in the hosting chair as Kevin continues his role as SB Nation maven of all sports. Ashlock is out with a case of law school finals, but we've got our English lad Ed Francis dropping some knowledge on us and Nick Petrill giving us his gravely gravitas. A bit of a downer, as we're forced to look through the disaster which was the loss to QPR. Plenty of evaluation of tactics, performances, managing, and a thorough analysis of just how good Kyle Walker is. We get in a look around the league, and talk how Chelsea just might make this race for fourth null. After that we're on to some news, as we talk Harry to England yet again, possible replacements, and more. A healthy mailbag this week, as we get on to some yelllow card bans, relegation candidates, and Europa League. We finish up with a lot of Blackburn talk, analyzing this critical match and trying to figure out just who Tottenham should play in this crucial match. Enjoy! |

Oh, so you think this show has a dumb title? Well, who asked you anyway? Everyone is back from a long hiatus during which we just plain forgot about the podcast (and since no one mentioned it ever clearly you all didn't miss it). We have a surprise 4 person panel in this episode. No cool weird guests, just a merging of all the regular presenters past and present. We talked a little bit about the Norwich match and a lot about the Chelsea match and even more about how to fix the things that are happening at Spurs. I know that we meant to discuss the upcoming Queens Park Rangers fixture, but we just never got around to it because the Champions League got in the way. Hey! Look who's back! It's me, Bryan! You guys remember me right? Guys? Guys? Anyways, I bring to you another excellent episode of Wheeler Dealer Radio. Kevin, Ed, and I sat down to record today and we talked about the Bolton Wanderers match,Fabrice Muamba, Stoke City, and why theroosevelts would make an excellent manager for Spurs. We also took some time to answer some half-decent questions from the mailbag. What you won't hear on this podcast is Kevin and I's lengthy Tim Tebow discussion, which I'm sure annoyed Ed about as much as it would have annoyed me if he talked about cricket for 20 minutes. I feel like I should have stored up the outtakes to these shows and then released them at the end of the season in a sort of "Worst of Wheeler Dealer Radio" compilation. No one would listen to that though. As always, visit out website Cartilage Free Captain to comment on the podcast. We break down this Bolton team from front to back, talking about their weaknesses and where they are dangerous. We then get on to looking at Tottenham's tactics, who to play and who to rest. All in all a great show! |

The Wheeler Dealer Radio crew is back with another Monday pod on deck. Kevin was partying up El Barra Brava in D.C. this weekend, so Nick Petrilli joins Mechanick and Ed Francis on the show as we delve into Tottenham Hotspur's 1-0 loss away to Everton on Saturday. There's praises for Brad Friedel and wondering about just what to do at centerback. Tactics as always get a thorough investigation, as well as the mystery of taking Luka Modric out of the center and Bale out of the left side. The table gets evaluated, as we start to wonder how real the risk is that Tottenham could fall out of third place... or even worse the Champions League places. We start to weigh the value of the FA Cup versus league form ahead of Saturday's Cup Quarterfinal against Bolton Wanderers. We get a breakdown of Harry Kane after Mechanick saw him live Saturday. There's also some Eden Hazard talk, as we look at Spurs' chances of getting the Belgian versus the Mancunian sides. Enjoy! |
