Summer is here football-wise ladies and gents. All of Tottenham's players are off to their various summer international camps, or just to get a bit of rest at home. No rest though from Wheeler Dealer Radio, as we keep going to preview the summer for you. Kevin and Mechanick are on the pod to break it all down for you. We start off by looking at Giovani dos Santos' play with Mexico and the unrest in his club future. After that we break down the importance of Sandro's summer with the Brazilian National and Olympic team. We look at Scott Parker's health and play with the England national team. And we head over to Spurs East, AKA the Croatian National team, where we project what is in the cards for the Tottenham trio there. We get into a mailbag where we look at Van der Vaart's role with Netherlands, and start to do some work on the transfer rumors. The requisite Jan Vertonghen and Leandro Damiao talk is there, and we add Ola Toivonen to the transfer talk as well. Enjoy the show! |

Coming at you in a full-on audial assault, Wheeler Dealer Radio is back again. Kevin is off on a magical vacation, so we got Mechanick in the hosting chair with Ashlock and Ed Francis dropping some analysis bombs. We start off by talking about the game everyone is despondent over, Chelsea's Champions League victory over Bayern Munich. We break down why this result went down and what it means to Chelsea going forward. We head on to Tottenham Hotspur, trying to figure out the impact of no Champions League next year. We break down the latest news in the Tottenham transfer market, and preview the future for Luka Modric and Gareth Bale. After that, we're on to a massive mailbag. We talk Daniel Levy, possible replacements, and strikers off the bat. We harken back to the old European Cup, think about selling high on some players and figure out the rivalry hierarchy of Tottenham. Replacements come up, both on the squad and which historical figure would be an upgrade of Harry Redknapp. We can't forget to get on to sandwiches, back-up leagues, American tours and figuring out the English media. We wrap up by previewing Tottenham Hotspur players' involvement in the upcoming European Championships. Who has the most to gain, and who can break-out? All in all it was an awesome show, and we tried to keep it upbeat in light of such a depressing weekend. Hope you enjoy! |

A super-big podcast coming at you today, as the original trio of Kevin, Mechanick, and Ashlock come at you to wrap up the last game of Tottenham Hotspur's season. We start off breaking down the Fulham match, then look around that everything happened on the craziest day in Premiership history. After that we're on to some end of the season Spurs awards, where we hand out the MVP, Biggest Surprise/Most Improved, Loaned-Out POY, and the ignominious LVP. From there we are off to a massive mailbag, where we talk about happiness, poaching players, Battleships, loans, and much much more. To cap it all off we do a massive preview of the Champions League Final, where we break down all facets of the Bayern Munich-Chelsea match-up. We look at suspensions, injuries, strengths, weaknesses, and form, and hopefully by the end of it everyone should be tactically ready to wow your mates for the final. We end on some predictions for this match that means so much for Tottenham's future. All in all a really fun pod, and thanks to everyone who made it through the entire thing. We'll be back next week to break down the Champions League final and start previewing the Silly Season, so thanks for listening. |

One of the amazing things about being a Tottenham Hotspur supporter is the ridiculous emotional swings one has to endure. It's almost like we're bipolar. Right now we're in the upswing, which is great, except it's always followed by the downswing. I wonder what it would like to constantly be on that upswing.... Anyways, it's a shorthanded show this week. So it's basically the Brian and Bryan show. Which was fun for a minute, but then you guys asked us a bunch of questions, which we really could have used Kevin's expertise to answer. So if you feel unfulfilled after listening to this you only have yourselves to blame. Brian and I did get a chance to talk about the Bolton match, Kyle Walker's new contract, and the upcoming Aston Villa match though, in between stumbling through your questions. As always, visit out website Cartilage Free Captain to comment on the podcast. If you have any comments or suggestions for future podcasts you can e-mail Kevin at allthingsfooty [at] gmail dot com. |

An upbeat podcast coming at you this week, as Tottenham Hotspur decided to pick up their form this week and drop a 2-0 win on Blackburn Rovers. Kevin's back in the hosting chair, as Ed and Mechanick chime in with their analyses. Plenty of talk on that game this week, as we break down what went right for Tottenham (and what went terribly wrong for Blackburn). A lot of tactics talk, a thorough analysis of Danny Rose, and some serious Kyle Walker redemption. After that we're on to the Mailbag, where we get started off with an analysis of the Championship playoff race. Praising for Chris Hughton and Ian Holloway, with long balls, long balls, and more long balls from Sam Allardyce. After that, we address the news of Roy Hodgson taking the England job. A ton of analysis of why it happened and if it was the right decision. After that we keep going with the England National Team, discussing the squad and just what Roy's appointment means for Tottenham Hotspur. We finish up previewing tomorrow's Bolton Wanderers match. We look at Bolton's threats, weaknesses, and just who the hell Harry Redknapp should put out there. All in all a great show with a good vibe, so thanks for listening! |
