I bet you weren't expecting a brand new episode of Wheeler Dealer Radio, were you? Mechanick, Kevin, and I thought it might be a good idea, given the results from last weekend for Tottenham Hotspur, to do TWO podcasts this week. This first one touches, briefly, on the Manchester City match, but mostly we spend an hour complaining. I think we make this clear in the podcast, but I want to put it in writing here too. All (ok, most) of the reactions and thoughts you hear in this post are not knee-jerk reactions. Even if you disagree with us, which is pretty much what Mechanick does the whole time, at least acknowledge that we're being reasonable in our criticism. So to quickly sum up what goes on in this podcast: We rant about Harry Redknapp, youth development, and even the City game. We also spend a few minutes discussing the final days of the transfer window which includes who's coming, who's going, and what's happening with Luka Modric. We're back again everyone with another installment of the best Tottenham Hotspur podcast on the interwebs. This week, aside from being able to discuss Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League opening match against Manchester United and the second leg of the Hearts Europa League tie, in which we got to see tons of our youth players, we have an actual signing to discuss. The Club have finally finalized the loan signing of Emmanuel Adebayor giving Tottenham someone who can play as the lone striker and score some goals. Obviously, myself, Brian Mechanick and Kevin McCauley are geeked about the opportunity to have a real striker, but all that is tempered by the expectations for the upcoming Manchester Citygame. Kevin and I expect Spurs to get absolutely smashed, whereas Brian is completely delusional and thinks that, thanks to excellent defending we'll grind out a draw. Some other Spurs things we cover include the development of the young players, the signing of Yago (or Iago) on loan from Juventus, and who will be on the squad once the transfer window closes. As usual we ramble off topic to discuss Stoke City, the performance of Swansea goalkeeper Michel Vorm, and why I have decided to go to law school. In the newest Episode of Wheeler Dealer Radio Mechanick, Kevin, and I discuss Tottenham Hotspur's Europa League game against Hearts of Midlothian, as well as preview the upcoming match against Manchester United. Additionally, we say goodbye to Robbie Keane in a segment that wasn't nearly as touching and poignant as it should have been. As always we touch on a few transfer rumors and answer your questions and just generally have a good time. Some quick revelations from this podcast: Brian loves any team with an America, I'm am very stereotypically English in my approach to football in addition to being the only person that does this podcast simply to hear themselves talk. We don't learn anything about Kevin other than he knows more about football than most of the people we know. The other cool thing to come out of this episode is that the writers for the site will start making predictions for Spurs games every week and we'll see who's predictive skills are best (HINT: It's not Mechanick). I know I said last week was the best episode that we've ever done and at the time that was correct. I really think the three of us are starting to hit our stride with this podcasting thing. Hopefully you all have as much fun listening to this as we do recording it. As always, visit our website Cartilage Free Captain to comment on the podcast. I'm going to be honest and say that some of our first podcasting efforts were a little rough. However, we've gotten a lot better and this episode of Wheeler Dealer Radio is by far the best one we've done. If it weren't for Brian Mechanick getting caught up in a Yakuza attack on his frat house in the first part of the show this thing would have been perfect. In this episode we discuss a few transfer rumors, but nothing as extensive as in the past. The main focus of this podcast is how we see the English Premier League shaking out. I can tell you that we all see Manchester United winning the title, but we have different views of how the rest of the league will shake out. We even make some shocking relegation predictions. After that we discuss Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League opening fixture against Everton at White Hart Lane. Both teams are already having some injury difficulties. We all know that Spurs will be without Sandro, William Gallas, Ledley King, etc. and Seamus Coleman and Mikel Arteta will be absent for Everton. So, sit back and enjoy the velvety smooth voices of myself, Mechanick, and our fearless leader (and fantasy football cheater) Kevin McCauley. Welcome back Tottenham Hotspur fans. It's time for Episode 4 of Wheeler Dealer Radio, the podcast for Cartilage Free Captain, SBNation's Tottenham Hotspur Blog. In this week's episode we discuss what little bit of team news there was from the past week, mainly a couple of youth players going on loan, as well as re-hash the most recent preseason friendlies. Also, we go through some stupid transfer rumors about the likes of Bobby Zamora, Alvaro Negredo, and Juan Mata and then later we answer some mail from our loyal listeners. One new segment we've introduced this week is "Legends of the Lane". This segment is for those of you who may be new fans of the club and may lack some of historical perspective on the club. This week Kevin, Brian, and Bryan discuss Glenn Hoddle who's name gives inspiration to the Morning Hoddle of Coffee piece that appears every weekday morning on our blog.
